The Unforgettable

Memory was both pleasure and curse. Ianto would never forget the night he dared to proposition Jack, who reintroduced him to love and joy.

He remembered the echo of Owen's gun, shooting Jack - the unbearable pain of loss when, alive again, Jack disappeared.

Jack was back now, and all seemed well. But Ianto could see in Jack's eyes that, wherever he had been, the pain of it remained: a memory of horrors worse than Ianto could imagine.

Love was the only comfort Ianto could offer.

It was enough.
