The Parting of the Ways

He could not leave Captain Jack Harkness without kissing him. He couldn't do it.

So he turned and kissed him, forgetting everything else. Time did not exist. Death was not lurking just out of sight. A kiss to last a lifetime, for both of them.

The kiss was better than words. In words, he could not explain who and what he was, the extent of his love, or the strangeness of their meeting.

Tosh was calling him.

He had to leave. No choice. No choice at all.

Jack turned away from the man who was more himself than he was.
