An Unearthly Child

Jasmine hated adults, but Jack Harkness was different. He smelled of ancient futures and he looked at her as if he knew she wasn't like other children. He was unusually smart.

When the time came for her to leave his world, he made a deal with the fairies, and sent her to them. No one else would have. When her elemental friends came back to torment humans, she always made them leave him alone.

Captain Jack Harkness came from the future and had travelled the stars, but that wasn't what made him special.

She owed him, and fairies never forget.
