Absolution

"Forgive me," whispered Ianto, in bed, in the dark.

Jack played with Ianto's hair. "What for?"

"I lied to you. I tricked you. I hid that thing in the basement, that killing machine."

Jack kissed his head. "You think you're the master of mendaciousness? Ianto, you are the most honest man I ever met. Take it from a real con man."

"I seduced you to make you trust me."

Jack laughed. "Guess it worked."

"I might have killed you!"

"You didn't."

"Jack... please." Ianto was close to tears.

With a kiss, Jack whispered softly into Ianto's ear. "I forgive you."
