The Coffee Girl

She was a cop, she was a good cop, and she did her job well. She was more than a pretty face in uniform: she was observant, and she had a good memory for detail. She had the knack of putting the innocent at their ease, and taking no nonsense from the guilty. She maybe didn't have the size for intimidation, but that was fine, since she had the full authority of the Cardiff police department backing her. She was capable of more.

Her boss had commended her. Twice.

So why did they insist on making her serve them coffee?
