Hold Me Tight
In prison, Toshiko learned to stop screaming. It was useless, and hurt her throat.
Free now, living at Torchwood, she had a real room, with bed and blankets. Her head sunk deeply into a pillow that smelled like flowers. Lavender?
Heaven.
She woke screaming from unbearable nightmares. She fumbled through the unlocked door, stumbled along corridors, sobbing. Captain Jack was there. She fell into his arms, trembling.
He stroked her hair and her back, murmuring soothingly. Rescuing her from the darkness again, smiling and strong.
"How can I help?" he asked.
"Hold me tight."
He held her in warm arms.
