Death Knell

Tosh bled, with Jack's arms around her, and Gwen weeping. The pain (so terrible!) faded. The whole world was fading around her. She was a pinprick of light in the fog.

She'd faced death before, but there'd be no resurrection, this time.

She wasn't sorry. She'd done the right thing. After all those wrongs, she'd redeemed her honour. Here were Jack and Gwen loving her as much as she loved them, which was all the love in the world, which she hadn't seen properly before. How had she missed it? It shone so brightly, now.

Everything ended, but love remained.
