The Battle of Cardiff Bay

Andy joined the police to stop violence, whether it was the rough-and-tumble of a pub brawl or extreme domestic cruelty. He expected to deal with nasty customers, not to become one. He was a cop, not a soldier.

Then one day the Cybermen marched down Pierhead Street. Gwen smiled her false smile. "It isn't real, Andy. Can't be. It's too much like a stupid dream."

It was real. Andy got a weapon, and used it.

The first time Andy killed anyone, it was a Cyberman. It sickened him to do it.

Andy had always known: he hated to kill anything
