Consuming

Come into our Hub, meet chaos.
Omnivorous, the rift spits out
Unexpected aliens, but
Not very nice ones. One time
Tosh translated a letter, a
Random find, a fond parent's love.
You wonder: does that kid still wait?
Can he know Dad's warm letter strayed?
It's a hungry gate to nowhere,
Devouring lives and tools and time,
Endpoint: us. Origin: strangeness.
